Smarter Constructon

Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) used in all Syntech Towers structures have the capability to support the entire tower without the use of large fabricated structures.

Less build Time

Construction of the Syntech Towers utilizes CMU as the main building component, reducing project timelines. CMU is more readily available due to production in every major market in the US, a key component to shorter project timelines.

Reduced cost

Syntech Towers are easier, quicker and safer to build with smaller labor forces, short construction times, and large reduction in facility impact. These three attributes contribute to a more cost effective cooling tower solution.

Features

1. STRUCTURAL WATER COLLECTORS

Our towers use a fiberglass structural water collector (patent pending) that supports the fill media and spans the entire length of the tower. This doesn't just simplify construction—more importantly, it simplifies maintenance procedures throughout the life of the tower.

2. CMU COnstruction

Syntech Towers aren't just economical – they're durable. Unlike traditional towers, CMU construction (patent pending) give our towers a three-hour fire rating and the ability to withstand winds in excess of 140mph. Have peace-of-mind knowing your tower is built to withstand hurricane-strength winds.

3. CURTISTECH NOZZELS

The patented Curtistech Nozzle squeezes every square inch of performance out of our towers. More valve than nozzle, they are spring loaded to work under only 1lb of static pressure. The head pattern evenly distributes the exiting water in a square pattern covering the entirety of the tower. Traditional cooling tower nozzles spray water in a circular pattern, leaving voids and rendering entire sections of the tower useless.

4. BOTTOM-MOUNTED FAN

Bottom-mounted fans ease preventative maintenance, eliminate expensive construction for shaft alignment and motor mounting, and also increase the volume of air throughout the fill media. The removable skid-mounted motor, gearbox, and fan makes in-shop maintenance quick and easy.

5. ABOVE-GRADE WATER BASIN

Syntech Towers feature an above-grade water basin built with CMU construction. This eliminates both construction costs and the environmental impact of the traditional below-grade basins.

Alternatively, Syntech Towers can be built with an outfall box that directs exiting water into an another tower's basin, augmenting its performance. Here's how.

6. FAN MOTOR VFD AND CONTROLS*

By using a variable frequency drive along with customer selectable parameters, our towers can operate at varying capacities. This allows the customer to conserve energy by capitalizing on favorable ambient conditions.
